Manage time

Time-we all know and we had studied in the past-waits for none but specially for time, do we have a respect?

In the past we used to respect time and in the present we respect those stuffs which reflect time such as mobile phones, laptops, tabs etc. Human beings have evolved over the time and with every era complexities magnified and glorified. There were hardly any time keeping machines in the past and now even a calorie tracker in the wrist band has a time still we intentionally, either don't know how to manage time or don't bother about the importance of time.

Lets take some examples-
a) In the morning we had a heavy rain and the entire city got flooded. There were eminent traffic jams all over the city. We decided to got off from the home to our office and got stuck somewhere in the traffic jam and then cursing the bloody traffic jam for being late to the office.
What could have been done better: Anticipating the heavy rain and the traffic jam we could have started early from our home to reach office on time inspite of a traffic jam. This is time management.

b) In the examination hall where we have been asked to solve some 200 questions in 120 minutes. We started with the first section-which may or may not be an area of my expertise, of course that's human psychology to start from the beginning and then running out of time to solve even the one which we knew better.
What could have been done better: We could have scanned the questions in one go and then started with the one on which we had an expertise. That's what successful people do. Scanning, analysing, strategising and then actioning.

c) Simple example- Our mobile phones keep on beeping indicating battery will die soon and still we continue to surf internet or keep on talking with the other person. Then the phone suddenly switches off.
What could have been done better: We could have immediately looked for some sources to charge the phone or devise some way out to save the remaining life of the battery. I am sure nothing is more important than an urgent phone call or an important message. If we are attending an urgent call we can pick the summary and make it short.

Time management is an important tool to keep our strengths alive. We need to sleep for 6 hours, at the same time we should exercise at least for an hour. If we work for 10 hours a day then we should try to stretch our body and eyes for a minute at every 1 hour interval. If we spend too much time on unproductive things then we should take some time out to pursue our hobbies as well. Nothing can be more disastrous than a stressful life; so manage time and manage life.
